Might I ask, for perspective and to learn, what tradition or denomination your view comes from?

I’m Catholic, and like the Orthodox (Eastern at least, I’m not sure on Oriental), we believe we are all sinners, but also that we can lose God’s Grace, need sacramental confession for our sins, and if we die in a state of mortal sin, can go to hell for eternity.
