Riding a 5000$ bike sounds insane to me. I did use my first hard earned money to buy a bike, but I stayed in the 800€ range. That last bike I blogged about did indeed cost around 5000€ (I think even more), but it has a motor and battery and tons of moving parts in it, not to say that it's a specialized cargo-bike. But a regular bike for that money sounds insane. I can't believe it would be noticeably better to ride and it would only draw bike thieves like a magnet. 😅
