I think it’s a good idea. Something I have thought about quite a bit.
I did not want to make an “official” one because to do that would be to host site data which I felt went against the ethos of what I was building.
Maybe I will look at doing one separately.
You could have a specific kind for a nowhere site entry and then have all the data from the link as well as the link itself in an event posted to Nostr. Then a client or website could pull that data and make a nice directory.
It would even then be possible to pull that data into pages that render nowhere sites. For example someone could build an Event nowhere page that looked for similar events and displayed them on the side. You get the discovery of Nostr while still having the immutability and uncensorable nature of the nowhere link itself.
Another good example is the forum. You could have a forum specific client that lets you have other forums you could select from at the top. Maybe even its own search and discovery for forums you would like to join. All in the one site.
There is so much you could build off this. I feel like what I have now are just the starting blocks.
