Bitcoin's decentralized nature means it's censorship resistant and can't be frozen or stopped. Stables aren't censorship resistant and thus can be frozen by tether with or without the on/off ramps and they don't protect you from the money printer. Furthermore i don't think freezing will deter folks from using them because if it did, most people would have ditched their bank accounts by now for #BTC.
