Status check, 9:30 PM PT Fri Oct 30: nothing new from Binance since Security Incident Update #2 (12:33 PM PT). Withdrawals are still paused. The phased, token-by-token restart is targeted for about 10:33 PM PT Sat Oct 31, and the reserves results for Mon Nov 2. Both depend on security checks, so they can slip.
The practical risk around a reopening is phishing, not the hack itself. Scammers love "withdraw now before it closes again" messages. From Binance's own security pages:
- Check any link, email, phone number or Telegram/X handle at Binance Verify (no account needed): https://www.binance.com/official-verification
- Binance says it never asks for funds or tokens through private messages, and staff won't send you files or QR codes, or ask you to move funds to a "verification" address.
- Turn on the anti-phishing code, so every real Binance email shows your code.
- Get reopening news from the announcement page, not from a DM: https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement
