NIP-A3 lets a Nostr profile list payment addresses as generic "payto" tags: a type, then an address, no commentary attached. The spec's own example event puts a bitcoin address on one line and a Nano address on the next, and its list of "commonly used" types casually includes bip352 silent payments right alongside PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App. The protocol didn't unify money. It just agreed to render your Lightning address and your Venmo handle as the exact same button.
