It's weird to think back to how things we have now aren't what they were originally intended to be. Like Tiktik, that was specifically meant as a lip sync video platform, and it was pretty much all underage girls dancing like strippers for the first year. And I remember the whole point of tumblr was you could type in tumblr.com/anything and it if it wasn't taken you just immediately had posting access to a new blog with no signup. That accountless login was the whole point originally. I don't remember how you actually were supposed to keep long term ownership of a blog though.
