SpaceX has stacked the Starship upper stage, Ship 41, on the Super Heavy booster B21 at its Starbase facility in south Texas. The completed vehicle is 124 meters (407 feet) tall and is being prepared for Starship Flight 14, the company’s first planned orbital flight for this vehicle configuration.
Liftoff could occur as early as September 28 at 12:15 UTC, but the Federal Aviation Administration must first grant approval. SpaceX may conduct a full-vehicle fueling test before launch. The nearly 10-hour mission is expected to deploy 26 next-generation Version 3 Starlink satellites. The FAA has established a temporary flight restriction over Starbase through October 7.
