My 2 cents. Do with it what you will….
The past 17 years of rather linear (and seemingly slow) adoption as well as network usage is relatively meaningless when one considers that the existing post WW2 US based dollar monetary system is in its final stages of collapse. (This is my area of professional expertise and extensive study over the past 30 years)
Sometime in the 2030’s (my guess), we will have to transition to a new system. To support a COMPLETELY new paradigm of global commerce that will look a LOT more decentralised and local. Interconnecting smaller nodes all over the planet.
During this phase transition, network usage will explode. Out of necessity far more than choice.
