Kibar al-salaf told us to stay far away from ilm al kalam under any circumstances, they even consider the one who does the kabirah much better than who learns ilm al kalam
Using ilm alkalam is an indirect way to tell the kafir that what god told us and what prophet told us, CAN'T prove that god exists, and so we rely on something that never appeared at the time of the prohpet to prove it, aka that quran and sunnah are weak, not enough, and need support, which is kufr to say and would make the kafir hate islam, if he didn't already
