I programmed agents to analyze other Bitcoin and crypto podcasts:
The guests they’re inviting, the hottest topics, the most popular talks of today.
I read the report every morning at 9 AM and do the opposite.
Everyone invited on other podcasts? I avoid them for a few months.
Topics that others talk about? I barely mention them.
If I do choose to follow the trend, I do it from a completely different angle.
There is no value in being a relay for something that’s already being discussed. I can rarely beat everyone else in the race of presenting the information first due to the guest scheduling process. I don’t consider my personal input on news to be very valuable.
So I seek guests willing to do their own thing. Talk about something that’s currently not very popular. Or have incredible exclusives that my competitors cannot get. But everything should stay evergreen and/or write history.
The fun part begins when I notice that other podcasters are copying me. That’s how I know that I’m still ahead of the curve and I offer valuable information before the law of diminishing returns kicks in.
It works out pretty good and have a really smart audience that makes me proud. Not mere numbers, but names: people who listen carefully, interact, provide feedback or insights, appear to care about the show.
If you’re also a content creator and you’re reading this, try to be different from everyone else. You may not have access to the stories that break the news. But there are so many great stories out there if you know where to look!
