⚡️🇬🇷👮♂️ NEW - They promised to double your money in just 50 days using cryptocurrencies.
Greek police have dismantled a network that allegedly recruited at least 10,000 people.
According to authorities, the group used an investment platform promising very high returns with little or no risk. Investors were also encouraged to recruit new participants in exchange for commissions, a mechanism typical of a pyramid scheme.
Approximately $8 million is believed to have passed through the platform. Seventeen people have been arrested, and nine others are named in the case.
During the raids, police say they seized 295,090 euros, 32 cell phones, 21 laptops, 15 tablets, and numerous storage devices.
