Interesting conversation. Thanks both! I remember reading that Brahmavadinis often taught at Ashrams and engaged in high-level debate with rishis. However, probably no where near equal in numbers. That seems well-supported given that apparently only 27 Vedic hymns, 35 at most according to some indices, were written by women, which is truly minuscule compared to the thousands written by men. That's rather telling.
