all the technical mumbo jumbo sits on invalid logic. here is a story to depict the error in reasoning.
there was an open barn surrounded by a fence with a 80 bit gate.
it does not follow logically that because the barn is open, you should tear down the gate.

BIP110 puts a door on the barn, because v30 took down the gate.
if core reverted their change, we wouldn’t need a door, because there is a gate.
none of the big wig v30 advocates could articulate a principled reason why removing the gate is good for the network.
