🟠 Rally Continues, Bitcoin Breaks Above $86,000
Bitcoin continued its rally on Monday, September 21, breaking above $86,000 and reaching its highest price in roughly nine months. The move extends the positive momentum after BTC previously broke through the $85,000 level.
The latest surge was again fueled by pressure on short positions in the derivatives market. More than $575 million worth of leveraged Bitcoin short positions were reportedly liquidated over a four-hour period, helping accelerate the upward momentum.
Bitcoin’s rally is also taking place amid renewed institutional interest and stronger flows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs. Markets are now watching whether the momentum can hold after BTC broke through several key resistance levels.
