Ie, I liked the old strategy of releasing finished products and then charging a fee to upgrade to the next version (which had actual new features and/or improvements, not just bug fixes)
They didn't promise to maintain the old versions forever, but the old versions kept on working because they were FINISHED PRODUCTS and not slop.
Now it's all subscriptions, constant not upgrade updates, license checks, fee raises, and vendor lock-in / monopoly hunting.

But I just refuse to subscribe to things. The only thing that has handcuffs on me is live2d cubism...
And I'll have to cancel that this year if I don't make a model soon xD
