I’ve just read your message. I hope you haven’t fallen into that “trap”.
This protocol (Nostr) is certainly quite entertaining, but it’s always highly advisable to bear in mind its connection to the bitcoin ecosystem; that’s what makes it even more brilliant. But at the same time, what makes so important to practise self-custody: such as running your own node, your own relay, or using a non-custodial LN wallet. And, of course, stop relying on just one client out of the many that utilise the protocol. This would broaden your mind and perspective, and help the whole community learn to spot any dodgy “moves”.
Btw., what I’m mentioning here — the positive aspects — is actually part of the features for which BIP110 is being promoted; in my view, everyone participating in the network should analyse and implement it.
