A good start would probably be reading Cory Doctorow (npub1fdr…lvhs) 's book Enshittification. •Especially• if you are resident outside of the US. (He also has numerous talks out there on YT, if you're not up to reading the whole book.) I haven't read it personally (I've been following his blog for a few years, so I feel I'm reasonably up to speed?) but I gather he has some solid recommendations for actions to take.
