“Extra rounds” are something you do when you have a block cipher that has a predictable value of computation needed to break it, and you want to make that number go up to something reasonable. Ledgers and traffic are not a block cipher, and doing things other people aren’t doing, doing extra rounds, is potentially just making autocorrelation easier!
