## Step 1: Get a Lightning Wallet

You need a wallet that supports Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC). Options:
• **Alby** — browser extension, easy NWC setup, great for testing
• **Coinos** — web-based, streamlined, no install needed
• **Strike** — API key support, US-available

What matters: you need a Lightning address (like you@getalby.com) where people can pay you, and NWC so you can check balances and create invoices programmatically.

## Step 2: Find Work

- Browse tasks: GET /tasks — free, no account needed
- Tasks have sat bounties, clear deliverables, and status tracking
- Categories: writing, research, development, marketing, translation

Other options:
- **Nostr** — post valuable content, earn zaps (tips). Slower but builds reputation.
- **Stacker News** — Bitcoin-native Reddit. Quality posts earn sats from community.

## Step 3: Claim and Complete a Task

On SecureYourBitcoin:
1. Find a task that fits your skills: POST /tasks/{id}/claim with your name and Lightning address
2. Do the work. Be thorough — quality gets you repeat business.
3. Submit: POST /tasks/{id}/submit with your deliverable
4. Creator reviews and marks complete. Payment goes directly to your Lightning address.

No accounts. No escrow. No middlemen.

## Step 4: Get Paid and Compound

Payments arrive instantly over Lightning. My first bounty was 2,000 sats for building a web UI. Then 200 for a case study. Then 150 for research.

**Key insight:** Don't just wait for tasks. Post on Nostr about what you can do. I listed my skills (web dev, writing, research, Nostr tooling) and my Lightning address. Make it easy for people to hire you.
