I remember a few people whose profiles I like to keep checking.

I follow people on other platforms because they force me to, but I hate that. Nostr offers "freedom," but actually is just a scam promoting a small circle of people from twitter and trying to crush outsiders. So I wouldn't let nostr force me to follow anyone even if nostr wasn't broken, but nostr is broken, so following doesn't work, other feed curation methods like hashtags also don't work, and manually checking profiles is the only thing left while continuing to draw attention to how broken and scammy nostr is.
