I've gotten used to it, and so it doesn't bother me. And as far as synchronization goes, I open my wallet often enough that there's very little synchronization that needs to be done.
I'm actually kind of of the opinion that us free folks are going to have to abandon the clearnet entirely for Tor and I2P in the future and therefore I've actually purposely limited all of my connections to 15 MBPS which is only about 5 MBPS more than what I've ever seen on Tor.
