It’s been 4 days since I’ve seen a Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Looks like the migration south has started.
We had 2 adult males, 2 adult females, and 2 babies. This was the smallest count since I’ve lived here.
A few surprises:
*First summer that the males stuck around. They usually skedaddle by June.
*Limited rock ‘em sock ‘em brawling. It was so quiet! The females actually sat next to each other while feeding. Divebombing was at a minimum.
Fly well little friends. See you in ‘27.
