one reason I like deltachat a lot is that it's not based in Silicon Valley like Signal, self-hosting is encouraged (unlike Signal) as well as alternative clients (unlike Signal).
So if Signal decides to incorporate some AI, it's pretty much game over. While deltachat could potentially be more resilient to that.
