The key to DoA is that it’s an organization where no one is required or even expected to do anything they don’t want to do. Organizational Hegemony is essentially a social engineering experiment based on using intrinsic motivation to get beings to contribute because they want to first and foremost. If all someone want a to contribute is in theory, that’s entirely fine—DoA creates a safe zone for many kinds of organization many would object to or consider taboo, and that opens the door to experimentation that wouldn’t be possible almost anywhere else.
