In high school, I worked part time for a year at a SPUDNUT shop...

... it was an old chain. This one was run by an authentic Greek. Nice guy but we had very early hours. Minimum wage job. $1.65 per hour. Gasoline was $0.249 per gallon.

They used a potato flour base that gave the donuts a nice flavor. I really liked them.
