The fact that I accept Bitcoin and, lately, Monero as payment for my original paintings is not a matter of ideology or purism.

I know perfectly well that the State already requires me to declare my income even when I’m paid in crypto.
It’s just that, for now, my meager earnings are insignificant enough to fly under the radar of the tax authorities’ scythe.

I would probably accept USDT as well if I didn’t have to answer to the State for the eight or nine paintings I sell in a year.

But for me, the point is something else: to accumulate sats autonomously, with as little bureaucratic friction as possible, in anticipation of a time when I might stop doing a fiat job and devote myself exclusively to painting.

That’s why, at this point, I don’t see any coins other than #Bitcoin and #Monero that can actually help me achieve that goal.
