Btw, this will hilariously break SegWit. But SegWit is already “broken” via allowing discounts in sats for the same physical bit of memory on my node. Hello, rule of identity? Conservation of energy? Is a bit physical or not? Make the accounting make sense.

SegWit will only be fixed by “breaking” it. Only once the discount and 4MB possibility is out of Bitcoin consensus can we really move forward here IMO. Just break locally and wait by using native L0 for self sovereignty. Most people use other people’s nodes for LN anyways. Resist the urge to hardfork unless you want to honestly deal with the difficulty wall. I see no way to convince anyone besides my action as an opt in waiting game.
