Went down a rabbit hole to better understand why the shingles vaccine I got yesterday has such strong side effects. It was fascinating and reassuring to learn that the enhanced response of your immune system is a sign that the vaccine is doing its job really well. Vaccines have come a long way in just the past few decades, and they can protect us better than ever before. I wish those who live in fear and ignorance of vaccines could be better informed and convinced about their positive powers. The technology is pretty amazing, and we would all suffer a lot less if vaccines weren’t vilified so much.
