Thanks for the post, made some really interesting reading and research on what happened to M&R Durango. Looks like there is no way for them to rebuild, because they lost the live culture that they had sustained for 3 decades. There might be other options, like Fungal Biopesticides, the birds I see mentioned in other comments and the grounds maintenance that you are already doing.
