speaking of the question of #beauty in respect of things that are a bit ugly and violent:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnassial
this special type of tooth, which almost all carnivores have, but some non-carnivores (omnivores and plant eaters) have them, they are the most powerful cutting tools in all of nature.
humans have carnassial molars too, btw, for the #vegan people to ponder upon. the first two molars, i think they technically are called premolars, have a substantial outer edge that is the same but not quite as sharp and tall as what you will find in the back of the mouth of a cat or dog.
we have meat eating teeth.
our incisors are for cutting through relatively soft things to start the process of breaking it down for digestion, but when we eat meat, the carnassial-like molars at the middle of the mouth allow us to cut through meat the same way as carnivores do
instead of having so many of these though, we are a bit different. the reason is that because we can do that science/inventor stuff, we have been pre-softening our food with fermentation, cooking, and with the use of cutting tools to pre-process our food so we don't need so much power to tear it apart.
we don't rip flesh off animals when we eat them. we trap them, smack them over the head, pierce them with spears or arrows, or we use a knife-like tool in our hands to grapple and sever their jugular arteries.
so we don't need so many carnassian teeth.
but we still have them.
we can in fact eat raw meat, cut it off the still mostly intact carcass of the animal with our TEETH, much the same as cats and dogs, but we just can't rip it apart as fast or swallow as big chunks relative to the size of our body.
if humans were "supposed" to be vegetarians, then explain why we can eat raw meat. and we can. i've done it multiple times. you just need to slice it up a bit more so it doesn't take so much work to swallow.
