Maybe I'm not being totally accurate.
Matt excels in providing convenient, easily digestible packaged sound bites for other maxis. Maybe he isn't exactly an idiot himself, but he treats his audience like they're idiots. He studiously avoids speaking on any kind of nuance or complicated trade-offs that require discernment. Neither will he engage in any sort of public discussion regarding complexity.

He strikes me as completely opportunistic, a legacy fiat guy who found Bitcoin and thinks he's doing the right thing using his platform to manipulate people into following him.

That's just why I don't like him. I could go into why I think his conclusions about Bitcoin are wrong but it's a separate subject.
