I'm a mechanical engineer, so like with software engineering vs. vibe coding conversations, definitions of "good enough", and goals and assumptions can vary widely. So with that said, my take is that blender's the obvious option if you want to make art, and the stuff I previously mentioned (different tiers of engineering design software) are the obvious choices if you primarily want to make functional gizmos or objects (stuff where exact sizes, shapes, contours, etc matter (things with hinges, levers, screw holes, latches, precise fits, etc)).
