Yes, I feel like you're doing the equivalent of asking if it's okay for a child to accept candy from a child abuser, or to accept free samples from a drug dealer, only where the child abuser/drug dealer is an explicitly authoritarian government with a long history of doing the most terrible things to its own people, and not like, some kind of fucked up things here or there, but more like, always and everywhere.
