Not really a complaint so much as trying to understand why the billions in profit in the industry can’t fund all the research without Societies doing fund raising and garnering many donations from people without any knowledge of the real money flows, using emotional appeals. I’ve had canvassers act insulted and judgy when I didn’t want to donate.
