"Defending from attacks" how would you know? How do you know which attacks are successful? How do you know that Monero has been focused on a nation state level? I have literally never had a non-autistic person talk to me about Monero. That is how you know the scale of magnitude is too small to matter. Talk to me when some government makes an initiative to stop Monero. Bitcoin has had several and continues to be inundated with glowies, bad actors, and demonizing. Monero is only dismissed by people who are in the crypto space to begin with, outside of that, no one even cares it exists.
