This appears to be about the right figure vis a vis the price of a large-scale hash attack on monero.

It would take a year or two to find the CPUs (~60k) and everybody would know in a month that an attack was coming.
Everybody already knows Monero will fork to protect itself.

But yeah, a determined attacker with 2 years and $200 million to burn could do a lot of reputational damage
unless the community just forked out from under them of course.
