Option 2: Keep your LG TV. Hook it up once to a temporary network or vlan, install homebrew web OS and ssh in. Install scripts to disable all the bullshit telemetry. Tape over any pin holes showing with multiple layers of thick tape or physically rip out mics. Then change password to this network or just delete it as it should only be a temporary network. Now even if it finds someone else's network to try and upload the bullshit you will have removed its ability to collect it in the first place (and hopefully you have blocked the network from even being able to initiate any network connections without doing a factory reset first.) Plug in something else like a raspberry pi etc. for watching your media.
