I found a use for all of these long English cukes that didn’t involve dragging all of the canning gear out and spending a day at it. Refrigerator pickles. The brine is equal parts vinegar and water. A tablespoon of canning salt and sugar per unit of distilled water. Montreal steak seasoning, cayenne pepper, dill, garlic powder, garlic plus, crushed chilis, and two whole chopped onions, brought to a boil and allowed to cool. Slice the cucumbers, stuff the jars, and add the pickling solution. Fasten the lids. Throw in the fridge. Good for 3-4 weeks. #gardenstr
