BitBox02 is purely additive and accumulative, like Core and Jade. It combines multiple sources so the result is at least as strong as the best one, with no bad fallbacks. Trezor also combines multiple independent sources, avoiding the single-point failure Coldcard had.
Still, I hesitate to recommend anything outside of the Core/Blockstream orbit. Incentives are bad and these little startups don't /cant take full responsibility.
