I'm an old (well not that old but) unix-er/emacs-er so I have a homeserver, my first step in Nostr after reading about it in HN was deploy my relay :)
I still have to make my own Lightning node integrated with Nostr and I use Wisp on mobile because it's really nice, but that will came to!
Honestly IMVHO to get Nostr spread homeservers are needed with coturn as well for VoIP and offer not much a Twitter clone and a galaxy of apps but a unified social communications for all, meaning chat (private and public), VoIP, blog-alike, Reddit/Lemmy-alike and the rest already there.
These days most even if completely IT-ignorant have realised the power of integration, Nostr could offer that, but it's not still there
