The Council of Trent, whose decrees on justification remain binding Roman dogma, places under anathema the gospel Paul preached. Its canons condemn the sinner who trusts for acceptance before God in faith alone, the imputation of the righteousness of Christ alone, and the remission of sins apart from infused grace and human merit.
Trent therefore curses the very ground of peace with God, that a man is justified freely by grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus and received by faith apart from works of the law. What the apostle calls the power of God unto salvation is, under those still unretracted canons, declared accursed. A communion that retains those anathemas does not hold the apostolic gospel. It anathematizes it.
The binding text is Session 6 of the Council of Trent, the Decree on Justification, especially Canons 9, 11, and 12. Those canons remain unretracted Roman dogma. A standard English text is here: https://www.papalencyclicals.net/councils/trent/sixth-session.htm
