Codex has it too, opencode doesn't. It's fundamentally a persisted session goal but I found it does too many things auto-pilot so I just designed a similar but more explicit prompt template that I use with a slash command in opencode.
With token budget becoming more of a concern I want to have more control over automatic execution and less implicit opaque prompting like /goal
