When hypoxic the body will prioritize systems that get organs trying to keep the heart and brain perfused and oxygenated so other systems not so much. The GI tract is one of the first and the inner lining dies from lack of oxygen and sloughs off. When the poop it out the smell is like its own level of hell
5) the grieving family will grasp to any and all involuntary twitches convinced that thier child will recover
6) if it bad we may get the body back but everything that made that child special will be missing
7) we will support them as best we can as both them and us go through the 5 stages of grief. Nurses are by and large grief eaters
