I have had the opposite experience, I came from the suburbs, I was color blind, until I moved into the ghetto where my eyes were opened. I was the first Caucasian on my block. Most of my adult I lived in, what at one time was the ghetto, as conditions improved, they left. There has been 3 or 4 murders a 100 feet from front door and I've attempted to save several. I have holes in the living room wall from shooting me.
