It's located 3 blocks from a massive dry river bed, and with some irrigation creeks in the immediately adjacent fields. It's also sandwiched in by a more distant smaller riverbed in the other direction. It looks like La Torre is in an especially low-lying area between the two rivers, which mostly contains agricultural fields and industrial buildings. The raised embankment of a nearby railroad may have also contributed to funneling water through the neighborhood.
