Because he has implied in an interview with the Guardian that he can win over the left (in fairness their gloss on his remarks not what he actually said explicitly, although his discussion of policies led them to gloss it that way).
If he thinks he will be judged on his leadership contest pronounce, emts & not what many see as his disastrous period as Health Secretary, he is going to be a bit disappointed...
