This is such a mess. It seems that the Massachusetts law on insanity is written in such a way that a non guilty verdict is actually the only logical one. If I've understood correctly, all the jurors have to decide is if there is a reasonable doubt that she was in her right mind. And there's plenty of evidence - between dr reports and toxicology - that she was not in her right mind.
The law is the problem here. Imagine a world where if there's any possibility that someone might be insane, they can't be convicted of murder.
This is why people like an Epstein can get away with their heinous crimes because our society is so evil that harming and killing kids isn't as important as the Dow.
