This life’s journey is filled with both joys and sorrows, and the only way to navigate through each day is to stay close to Jesus and allow Him to lead and guide. You can be sure the devil wants nothing better than for you to be miserable, and he works overtime to steal your joy. He doesn’t want you to be happy or “feel loved” because “real” love can only come from God - and he hates God! The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” Make no mistake, Satan is a liar and a deceiver, and he rejoices when you choose a path that God didn’t choose for you. He loves to incite evil and hate and works overtime devising devious plans of deception. He is an expert at knowing your weaknesses and is constantly whispering lies of deceit, and when you are at rock bottom, he will load you up with self-condemnation, guilt, and shame. You would be a fool to underestimate the power of the enemy, so don’t! But here is the good news - God is much more powerful than Satan ever thought of being, and when you are safe in the arms of Jesus, there is nothing the devil can do to you! God has promised in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus loves you more than anyone else ever could, and you can trust Him with your life! There is a ferocious battle going on right now between good and evil, but rest assured, your salvation is in Jesus - just read the back of the book, God’s Holy Word, and you’ll know that . . .
