did:nostr is very easy to understand. As you say the nostr key is good enough to be used as identity, and that's exactly what did:nostr does. Why do you think did:nostr is hard to adopt, it's basically trivial. The nostr message protocol is neat, but the identity piece is the value and did:nostr focuses on that. Both are complementary. Eventually everyone will adopt it and say it was obvious 😂
